About this event

Join Kyrah Altman, CEO of LEAD, Inc. (Let's Empower Advocate and Do) and the East Coast Regional HERCs as we delve deeper into the discussion on inclusive conversations from our last LEAD program on October 11th.

During this workshop we will focus specifically on how we can move from "Everyone is welcome here" to "This space was created with you in mind".

Additionally, we will:

Explore how power dynamics, implicit biases, and social identities impact one's likelihood of interrupting others, being interrupted at work, and willingness to speak up after being interrupted.

Discuss how "flipping the script," or disrupting an interruption looks and sounds differently in virtual and in-person settings.

Practice using intentional language to disrupt interruptions, apologize for interrupting others, and set conversational norms to build women-centered inclusion and belonging at work.
