As a non-profit organization, HERC offers an affordable, all-inclusive membership model that extends to every individual at your institution. Most regions use a tiered dues structure based on employee count, ranging from $2,500 to $12,500 annually. Your Regional Director will provide a membership brochure with the dues structure.

In many cases, the cost of posting jobs alone offsets the full cost of membership. Dues can also be shared across institutional budgets and departments, such as Human Resources and Faculty Affairs, since both play a role in recruitment. HERC is a cost-effective investment in faculty and staff recruitment and retention.

HERC members are accredited institutions across the higher education spectrum, including community colleges, four-year colleges and universities, graduate and professional schools, medical schools, teaching hospitals, research institutes, and nonprofit organizations such as museums and cultural institutions. Some regional HERCs also welcome P–12 schools and corporate associate members.

When an institution joins HERC, all employees of that institution are considered HERC members and can take advantage of all that HERC offers.
