Monica Bourassa, MBA

Monica has worked in the field of human resources since 2012.

Monica’s professional and educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Denver and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Denver. She is also a Certified Recruiter with Recruiter Academy.

Monica’s area of expertise is in talent acquisition. She has always had an interest in working closely with people and delivering solutions. In her role, she utilizes these passions to find and hire talent that best supports our university’s mission.

Andy Horovitz, JD

Director, Talent Acquisition

University of Colorado – Boulder

Andy’s area of expertise is talent acquisition and talent management. He is passionate about strategically tackling challenges and opportunities related to talent at the University. He has worked in the field of human resources since 2005.  Andy’s professional and educational background includes a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration from University of Colorado-Boulder, and a Juris Doctorate from University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Andy is also a member of the Colorado Bar.

Teresa Hernandez

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Recruitment Program Manager

University of Colorado - Boulder

Teresa is a multi-generation Colorado native with migrant farmworker parents from the San Luis Valley. Both parents were activists at CU during the Chicano movement, and both worked at CU.  Her dad was a Custodian/Security Guard, and her mom was a Counselor undertaking inclusivity work at CU for 40 years. Teresa and her partner continue this legacy as alumni and staff at CU.

Teresa's work has focused on advocating for underrepresented communities both within the nonprofit and educational realm. Since 2006, her campus career has focused on making excellence inclusive in both Student Affairs and Human Resources.

Her area of expertise includes advocacy for students and inclusive recruitment for staff and faculty. It is important to her that others feel heard, respected, and valued as a student, staff, faculty, and/or community member in order for people to have meaningful experiences while on campus.

David Pacheco, JD

EEOC/Affirmative Action Officer

University of Colorado – Boulder

David first joined CU-Boulder as a research attorney and has been in the field of Human Resources since 2006. He has a BS in Political Science from the University of New Mexico and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado School of Law. David's main area of focus is Affirmative Action compliance.
