Conscious Cultures in Higher Education

  • 1.  Conscious Cultures in Higher Education

    Posted 04-23-2025 12:20:00 PM

The Greater Chicago Midwest and Upper Midwest regions invite you to join as our guests at our regional meeting on May 8th at 9:00 AM Central Time/ 8:00 AM Mountain Time.  Grab your coffee and join us as we learn how to enrich our campuses and workplaces, including how conscious culture practices are impacting some of our member campuses.

Conscious Cultures are places where people are seen in their full humanity, honor one another's human dignity, and have accountability. In higher education, we are in critical need of Conscious Cultures that create conditions for staff and faculty to orient to community, students, and one another in an effort to create safe spaces where everyone can thrive.

Through a series of thoughtful exercises, we invite participants to:

    ·                  Reflect on lived experience for the purpose of exploring how values shape interactions with others

    ·                  Examine how values shape interactions in higher education for the purpose of creating more Conscious Cultures

This highly engaging session provides participants with the necessary time and space to consider the foundational importance of operating with a raised awareness when engaging with self and others.
