    • HERC Listening Session: Navigating Political Landscapes to Build Inclusive Workplaces – Part 2, June 11: In October 2023, we held Part 1 of the HERC Listening Session series Navigating Political Landscapes to Build Inclusive Workplaces. HERC members from across the country shared their experiences, their successes and frustrations, and began an important and timely conversation about how to move forward in the face of rapidly changing state legislative agendas and institutional policies that present new demands and challenges to our work. During this session, we'll continue the conversation. Navigating these evolving landscapes requires that we hold space to come together, share insights, and pool resources so we can collectively continue to support this crucial work. Share your perspectives and experiences, hear from colleagues across the country, and help us continue to forge our path forward. Click here for more info and to register.
    • HERC Dual Career Dialog, June 11: Please join HERC's Dual Career Committee for our monthly virtual dialog in which we lead an open discussion on topics surrounding methods, challenges, and rising issues for supporting dual career couples in higher education. During this session, we will be joined by a guest speaker from the University of Notre Dame, Sara Ermeti.  Sara will share the results of her recent Dual Career Survey that went out to dual career practitioners earlier this year. We will also share a new idea/topic for our September 2024 Dual Career Dialog and discuss other topic ideas that you would like to see in 2024-25. We will be taking a break during the months of July and August, so please join us as we head into the summer! Click here for more info and to register.

    • HERC Partner Webinar: How NYU Manages Faculty Career Processes with Technology:  In a higher education landscape that increasingly requires transparency, how is your institution ensuring fairness and equity in faculty hiring and evaluation processes? We know that higher education is experiencing challenges in faculty retention. Burnout, fair reviews and promotions, workload issues, and administrative sludge all contribute to the faculty experience and are top-of-mind for administrators. Each milestone of faculty careers from hiring to review to promotion must be thoughtfully executed with efficiency, transparency, and equity. Technology can improve many of these processes. Find out how New York University uses Interfolio's Faculty Information System to support and celebrate their faculty. Learn about how they streamlined faculty evaluation processes for candidates, committees, and staff. With less administrative burden, faculty and administrators can focus their time on their most meaningful work. Click here to access webinar.
