The Ohio-Western Pennsylvania-West Virginia HERC, established in 2014, is a non-profit organization composed of a diverse group of colleges and universities as well as research, medical, and cultural institutions. Member representatives include faculty, staff, human resources professionals, institutional leaders, and faculty relations experts. The OHWPAWV HERC includes members in all of Ohio, western Pennsylvania including the Pittsburgh region, and West Virginia. The OHWPAWV HERC governed by an Advisory Board drawn from its member institutions and Wright State University serves as the lead institution.

Regional Governance

The Advisory Board is responsible for recommending on a yearly basis the annual budget which is voted upon and must be passed by a two-thirds majority of the Advisory Board. The Advisory Board also advises the OH/WESTERN PA/WV HERC Director on, and assists with, the planning of meetings and the preparation of annual reports. The Advisory Board, in conjunction with the Governance Committee, is responsible for maintaining the equitable distribution of Associate Member participation across the seven regions.
