The Southeastern HERC was established in 2014 as the Greater Tennessee HERC - a collaborative response of colleges and universities in Tennessee to the many challenges of academic recruitment and retention. Since that time, we have grown to include membership across Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia. The Southeastern HERC is headquartered at Vanderbilt University. As a non-profit consortium of higher education and affiliated employers, the Southeastern HERC's sole aim is to help the most diverse and qualified candidates find the right jobs at our institutions. Our HERC's core values are excellence and diversity in the higher education workforce and the promotion of work/life balance through assistance to dual-career couples.
