The Southeastern HERC was established in 2014 as the Greater Tennessee HERC - a collaborative response of colleges and universities in Tennessee to the many challenges of academic recruitment and retention. Since that time, we have grown to include membership across Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia. As a non-profit consortium of higher education and affiliated employers, the Southeastern HERC's sole aim is to help the most diverse and qualified candidates find the right jobs at our institutions. Our HERC's core values are excellence and diversity in the higher education workforce and the promotion of work/life balance through assistance to dual-career couples.
The Southeastern HERC provides a dual career network of colleagues from member institutions to exchange CVs/resumes of partners and spouses to help them identify available positions and assist them during the job search process.
Southeastern HERC members can connect directly with colleagues from member institutions by using the member directory, as well as access resources and information in our dual career community.
