The Greater Tennessee HERC was established in 2014 as a collaborative response of colleges and universities in Tennessee to the many challenges of academic recruitment and retention. The Greater Tennesee HERC is headquartered at Vanderbilt University. As a non-profit consortium of higher education and affiliated employers, the Greater Tennessee HERC's sole aim is to help the most diverse and qualified candidates find the right jobs at our institutions. Greater Tennessee HERC's core values are excellence and diversity in the higher education workforce and the promotion of work/life balance through assistance to dual career couples.
