This highly interactive session will focus on awareness and recognition of the dimensions of identity, and its impact on recruiting, retaining and promoting diversity.

Workshop will be led by Dr. Cheryl L. Frank, Higher Education Officer and Associate Professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York (CUNY). Prior to her work at John Jay, Dr. Franks spent 22 years at Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW) where she served as Dean of Field Education and Executive Director of Diversity, Human Rights and Social Justice. Dr. Franks’ teaching and curriculum development includes courses in Education and Justice, Educating for Social Change, Sustainability, Human Rights, Re-thinking Human Rights (at SIPA), Diversity, International Immersion, Race and Ethnic Relations, Justice and Anti-Racist Practice, Program Development, Social Enterprise Administration and Seminars in Field Education.
