The landscape of pay equity and pay discrimination risk continues to evolve at a rapid pace both at the federal and state level. With new requirements — and new pressures — arising with each new local or state 'fair pay' law that is passed, higher education institutions are not immune from this heightened focus on pay equity. In this one hour webinar, pay equity expert Mike Bracken, from the Center for Workplace Compliance, will analyze the latest equal pay developments and explain their practical implications for higher education institutions.

Speaker Bio: Mike Bracken joined the Center for Workplace Compliance, then known as the Equal Employment Advisory Council, as senior counsel in March 2016. As senior counsel, Mike helps CWC members understand and meet their workplace compliance requirements with a focus on state standards, pay equity, immigration, contractor compliance, wage and hour, and fair employment issues. He regularly authors CWC memoranda, compliance guides, and amicus briefs on these topics and also serves as an instructor in CWC training programs. Mike holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University. Prior to joining CWC, he worked in the commercial litigation group of a large Am Law 100 law firm. Mike is admitted to the bars of Virginia and the District of Columbia.
