Jim Johnsen is Vice President of Executive Search at Greenwood Asher & Associates and an Affiliate Faculty at the Center for Studies in Higher Education, University of California Berkeley. Former roles include Senior Fellow for the National Association of Higher Education Systems and President of the University of Alaska System. His passion for the value of higher education in economic development, civic engagement, and social mobility spans a career in higher education, government, and private industry. He has served on numerous advisory boards, most recently at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Pennsylvania. In his latest publication, Public University Systems: Leveraging Scale in Higher Education, Jim and his colleagues explore how public university systems leverage their scale to increase intercampus collaboration and better educational outcomes.
