Despite the increase in degree completion and promising trends that hiring bias is on the decline, women remain underrepresented in STEM, particularly Latinas and other women of color. Drawing from a range of interviews and case studies from the recent book, Advancing Women in Academic STEM Fields through Dual Career Policies and Practices (2018), authors Drs. Marci R. McMahon, Marie T. Mora, and Ala R. Qubbaj (University of Texas Rio Grande Valley), along with interviewee Elizabeth Ancarana (Harvard University), will discuss how dual-career policies and practices impact recruitment, retention, and advancement strategies. They will also explore current research on work-life integration and share best practices and approaches related to intersectionality.  REGISTER HERE
